Mission and Purpose:
The purpose of the Randolph-Macon College Cheerleading Squad is to help promote school spirit throughout the college campus and the community.
The Squad will also spread awareness of the sport of cheerleading locally and regionally by representing the College in a professional and energetic manner at school functions on campus and across our athletic regions and conferences.
Major events planned for the year: We run/walk in a benefit for Children’s Hospital every October. We also March in Ashland’s annual Old Town Parade in November to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. We will be competing in 2008 in an Eastern Cheerleading Association National Cheer and Dance Competition. Each year we cheer for football as well as men and women’s basketball and participate in pep rallies and spirit events associated with these athletic events.
Spring Tryouts for rising students and incoming freshman will be held on April 7th and 8th if interested please contact Susan Cassidy for information on time and location of tryouts.
