Spring will be ushered in by the world-famous Harlem Choir, which will perform at 7:30 p.m. on February 14, 2009 in Blackwell Auditorium. The choir, founded in 1986, represents the finest singers and musicians from Harlem churches and the New York/tri-state area. The dynamic and powerful Harlem Choir has performed worldwide for a spectrum of audiences. Don’t miss this uplifting and energy-packed performance.
Bluegrass band Southern Rail will grace the Blackwell Auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m. on April 18, 2009. The band, which hails from Watertown, Massachusetts, will bring its high-octane mix of bluegrass and irreverent humor to R-MC for an evening that is sure to entertain. Lively guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin—combined with riveting bass and gorgeous harmonies—are hallmarks of Southern Rail’s distinctive sound.
