Office of International Education
NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS are available to Randolph-Macon
students to help pay the cost of their participation in study/travel
courses offered through the college. To apply, students
must demonstrate financial need and have a current FAFSA (Free Application
for Federal Student Aid) on file with the college's Financial
Aid Office.

APPLICATION FORMS are available from the Fiinancial
Aid Office website. (click on Study/Travel application)
PREREGISTER FOR THE COURSE: Students must be preregistered
for a study/travel course before seeking financial aid for the class.
The preregistration process is the same as for other R-MC classes
and is done through the Registrar's
Office in concert with a student's academic advisor.
TO APPLY:
- make sure you are preregistered for a study/travel course
- make sure you have a FAFSA on file with the college's Financial
Aid Office
- complete part 1 of the application form
- write a letter explaining why you need financial assistance
to participate in the course and include it with your completed
application form
- staple your materials together
- submit application materials to the Financial Aid Office, located
in the Mabry House (see building #33 on the campus
map)

The Financial Aid Office processes applications and forwards them
to the Office of International Education, where scholarship awards
are determined.
HOW MUCH? The amount of aid, if any, awarded to a student
depends on the information provided by the Financial Aid Office
and the total number of qualified applicants.
ORIENTATIONS: All participants in study/travel courses offered
by the college are REQUIRED to attend a J-term study/travel
course orientation, conducted in the fall by the Office of International
Education. For more information on dates and times of the J-term Travel/Study
orientation sessions, contact Mayumi
Nakamura.
