It's smart to get informed as early as possible! Visit the R-MC StudioAbroad website to search for the many, many semester abroad programs available to R-MC students. Creating a Profile allows you to save the programs you find most intriguing. You can also request more information or an advising appointment by clicking on the "Request Info" button found on every program description. When you are ready to take the next step, navigate to any program description and click on the "Apply Now" button. From there you will be directed to fill out an advising questionnaire, submit an unofficial transcript, and schedule an advising appointment with our Study Abroad Advisor, Tammi Reichel [firstname.lastname@example.org]. The advising questionnaire must be filled out in StudioAbroad before your scheduled advising appointment. Once you have met with the Study Abroad Advisor to discuss which programs are the best fit for you, you'll complete your Application. At this stage, your application is reviewed by R-MC’s Office of International Education; only after you are approved and officially nominated to participate in a semester abroad will you apply to the program provider or host university of your choice. You will need to submit the following materials online: A brief statement of your goals and a reflection response 2 academic recommendations Student conduct form Once those have been submitted and reviewed, you may be invited to an appointment with Office of International Education staff to clarify your plans and goals. If your application is approved and you are Nominated by the OIE to pursue your study abroad plans, the non-refundable study abroad application fee of $350 is due at that time. The next step is to apply to the program provider or university abroad that you wish to attend (the External Application). This is different for each program, and there may be an additional program fee (not more than $100). You will receive detailed information after you have been nominated by the Office of International Education.
