Semester Abroad

Thinking of experiencing the world through study abroad? Let's get started!

It's never too early to get informed about your study abroad options. All R-MC students are encouraged to explore the opportunities available to them. No matter what your major, language abilities, or financial situation, there are myriad programs to choose from and there is an option to meet everyone's needs.

To get started, review our semester abroad Frequently Asked Questions and Application Information. Then visit R-MC StudioAbroad to:

  1. Search for semester and year-long study abroad programs
  2. Create a personal profile. This allows you to save the programs that interest you most.
  3. Begin the application process through your profile

Semester abroad information sessions are held each semester, but you are welcome to explore programs, create a profile, or meet with the Study Abroad Advisor at any time!

Applications for fall 2018 or the 2018-19 academic year are due to the OIE on January 15, 2018. Keep in mind that faculty may not be available during vacation periods, so it is smart to schedule an advising appointment and request recommendations before exams begin. Whether you definitely plan to apply or just want to explore the idea, start by reading all about semester abroad on this website. Visit StudioAbroad to create a profile, and plan to attend a study abroad info session to meet OIE staff and students who have already been abroad (see announcements for dates & times). Starting early makes the process less hectic for everyone, especially you!

If you have missed a deadline, contact the Study Abroad Advisor at TammiReichel@rmc.edu to see if a late application is possible.
