Pictures of the antenna
These Pictures are of the initial stages of the mount of the antenna
being installed. In the picture above, the line can be seen
where the conduit was laid which holds the cables. These were
taken in the early spring of 2001.
The picture above shows the antenna, with mount and dish, as of
6/14/01. The feedhorn and LNA had yet to be installed and
the cables had still not been connected.
The nearly completed antenna is shown above, with dual axis drive
motors and the nose cone covering the feed horn with pre-amplifier
attached. A closer view of the drive motors is shown below: The
image on the right shows the work done by our welder to adapt the
new drives to the 3-meter dish.
