Funded by a grant from Alcoa, two internships are available each summer for those interested in gaining experience in the public service and non-profit sectors. These internships provide the opportunity for sponsors to recruit future employees and for interns to demonstrate their potential. The program also enables businesses and other sponsoring agents to accomplish projects at little or no cost.
For the past several years, Goodwill of Central Virginia and Hanover Safe Place have served as hosts who evaluate and select their interns. These internships are highly competitive, and students are reminded in early March of each year to apply.
