The ethics minor consists of five courses: two foundation courses and three electives.
NOTE: In academic year 2013-2014, two sections of RELS 237: Christian Ethics will be offered in the fall. However, neither RELS 235 nor RELS 237 will be offered in the spring of 2014.
Students who plan to graduate in the spring of 2014 with a minor in Ethics, but who have not yet taken either RELS 235 or RELS 237, should register for RELS 237 in the fall of 2013.
For planning purposes, two sections of RELS 235: Religious Ethics are tentatively slated for fall 2014.
Students must take one foundation course in Philosophy (PHIL 212) and one in Religious Studies (RELS 235 or 237).
Students are encouraged to take one or both foundation courses before taking electives in the minor.
If a student takes both RELS 235 and 237, one will count as a foundation course and the other as an elective.
No more than three courses from a single department may count toward the minor.
The foundation courses also count toward the AOK Civilizations requirement.
