Cubes are a great way to help students learn about any subject. Below is a template for creating your own cube. Print this page on thick, card stock paper, and then add whatever you wish to each side. Cut out the two shapes and use the tabs provided to glue them together to form a cube. One idea is to put a picture of a different community helper on each side. Let the children roll the cube and tell the name of the community helper that goes with each hat.

Another great way to learn
about Community Helpers is through the use of a Folder Game.
Folder games are simply games that are produced using a file folder.
The game board is glued to the inside of the folder, and pieces are
also kept inside. This makes for convenient storage and use.
One example of a folder game to be used with the theme of Community
Helpers is this Bingo/Matching combination game. Students draw
cards and match with the pictures of community helpers on their board.
The first student to match five pictures in a row wins! (PICTURE TO FOLLOW)
