Liberation Theology
Course Description
An examination of the development and expression of liberation theology
through the study of representative writings emerging from current
liberation movements (Black, feminist, Latin American); theological
and ethical resources on which they draw; the delineation of unresolved
problems such as the liberation of oppressors and viable forms of
political and social transformation. Prerequisite: permission of
instructor. Area Three: Religion and Culture. Offered every third
or fourth year
