The Student Health Center can assist with the evaluation and appointment scheduling of orthopedic care. The SHC can splint, temporary cast, and wrap injuries. Students can be referred to a nearby off-site medical center (Ashland Medical Center) the same day where x-rays can be taken to determine the extent of the injury (broken bones). Crutches, canes, shoes, sleeves, and other orthopedic equipment are available at the Health Center. Any follow-up and physical therapy can also be coordinated by the SHC staff.
