You Are Here
You Are Already Involved!
That's right, you are already involved in campus and your probably didn't even know it! All of our students who live in residence halls become a member of the ever-popular organization, RHA (Residence Hall Association). RHA provides coordination and presentation of programs for the hall communities.
For more information go to the RHA website
How can I benefit from being a member of RHA?
RHA offers many opportunities for leadership, even at the first year level. Hall representatives are elected from every residence hall to be a representative at RHA meetings. Special Interest Houses and the Townhouse Apartments also have representative. The duties for RHA members are:
- Report to the hall of RHA projects
- Update Resident Assistants (RAs) of information obtained at Association meetings.
- Represent the hall on issues and concerns.
- Participate in one or more of the RHA committees.
- Work with RHA to initiate programs on the hall and aid in hall meetings.
- Act as role model within the residence halls and the college community.
RHA offers great skills through conferences and other events. Being a Hall President is a great way to gain leadership experience on campus. If you are interested in applying to be a Resident Assistant, an Orientation Leader, a SGA Officer, a Judicial Board Member, or a Greek organization officer, RHA is a great place to start off!
Committee Participation
Students are also encouraged to participate in RHA's specialized committees. These committees can provide RHA with vital collaboration across the campus through the hall community. If you would like to assist a committee, please contact that committee's representative. Weekly meetings are also a great way to get involved in RHA. RHA meets in the Topping Room in the Yellow Jacket Room every Monday night at 5:45pm.
