Randolph-Macon has been at its current site in historic Ashland, Virginia, since 1869. We are only 15 minutes north of Richmond, Virginia, (rated one of the nation's most vibrant and progressive cities by Rand-McNally) which offers the social, cultural and recreational opportunities of a big city. Plus, we are only a short drive from Washington, DC, Virginia Beach, and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Our campus features over 60 buildings (three of which are listed on the National Historic Register), recently renovated library and science facilities, and 110 acres of trees, playing fields, and courtyards. As many visitors say, the R-MC campus, "looks the way a college campus ought to look!"
