Celebrating Schubert, Schubertiade Opening reception and musicale 5:00 p.m. Franklin Room, Washington-Franklin Hall
Enjoy music and conversation in the beautiful Franklin Room of Wash-Frank Hall, as R-MC music students and faculty present music by Franz Schubert (1797-1828). The Franklin Room features a rare 1860 Steinway grand piano and offers the ideal setting for the kind of informal music gatherings that Schubert used to host at his apartment in Vienna.
This event is free and open to the public.

Celebrating Schubert, R–MC Concert Choir presents Schubert's Mass in G 7:00 p.m. Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church (music presentation)
The R-MC Concert Choir celebrates the work of Franz Schubert. Program includes Mass in G with chamber orchestra, as well as a collection of Schubert songs. This program is free and open to the public.

Now in its 21st year of production, this annual R-MC event features a cast of more than 40 students, faculty and staff and their families, as well as local residents. After more than 100 performances, audiences continue both to treasure the traditions of the play and to delight in the new touches that are added each year.
The Box Office (a phone mailbox) begins taking reservations at 10:00 a.m. on November 28 at (804) 752-7316. Tickets are $2.50 for adults and $1 for children 12 and younger, free to R-MC faculty, staff and students.
