Human Resources: R-MC Holiday Schedule 2008

The following days have been identified by the Cabinet to be observed by Randolph-Macon College as official holidays. The Staff Handbook identifies eleven holidays. However, the Cabinet at its discretion may designate more days depending on which day of the week certain national holidays occur. (*Denotes holiday not specified in the Staff Handbook.)

Although the College will be closed as noted above, Cabinet officers may alter an office’s schedule to accommodate the specific needs of that office and the College. For example, the Physical Plant and Campus Security will be open December 24 through December 31, with adequate staff available to respond to any routine or emergency situations requiring their services. Semester break is scheduled each year so as to provide appropriate holiday time off for all employees and to serve the needs of the College.
