Flexible Spending Accounts
The College allows the establishment of flexible spending accounts, (FSAs), designed to allow you to pay for UNREIMBURSED MEDICAL and Dental expenses (commonly referred to as "out-of-pocket" expenses) and DEPENDENT DAY CARE expenses on a pretax basis. This program is administered through L,D, & B Insurance of Harrisonburg, Virginia . Each year during Open Enrollment, employees have the opportunity to sign up for either the Unreimbursed Medical and/or Dependent Child Care flexible spending account.

This is a reminder that in some instances you will need to provide follow-up documentation for charges to your Benny Card, if the debited amounts do not match an amount that ties to our health and dental co-pays. This documentation will be requested by an email and snail mail from L,D, &B. If you do not respond to these requests and do not provide the documentation or contact L,D, & B, the use of your Benny Card will be suspended until you provide L,D, & B with the necessary documentation. Although the use of your card will be suspended, you will still be able to request reimbursement through a claim form to access the funds in your account for eligible expenses.
