Healthcare Consortium of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV)
Randolph-Macon College is a founding member of the recently-formed Healthcare Consortium of the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV). After extensive research and study, our Consortium of 12 private colleges formed a partnership with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to provide healthcare coverage. Anthem brings a host of medical plan options to the Consortium, and each college has carefully selected the plan, or plans, that will best serve their individual workforce. Plan specifics, pricing and enrollment instructions were communicated in a succession of weekly updates and Open Enrollment was conducted and the benefit had an effective date of effective January 1, 2010.
