The Instruction area of the HAC houses the College's Tutoring Program. The following information will guide you through the program and tell you how to secure a tutor for any class.
How to Request a Tutor
Tutors for all subjects are R-MC students who have done outstanding work in their courses of study and who want to help others. They are members of a tutoring program that is nationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.Tutors are available for more subjects taught. Tutoring is FREE to all R-MC students. Contact the tutors via e-mail or phone (see information below), or contact Dr. Jenny Bruce (jbruce@rmc.edu or x3201) or drop by the academic center in Thomas Branch. All subjects except writing and speech are available through Dr. Bruce. If you would like to contact a writing tutor, please contact Gayla Mills (gmills@rmc.edu or x3031). If you need a tutor for a speaking assigment, please contact Dr. Ted Sheckels (tsheckels@rmc.edu or x7288).

The HAC hires tutors in April for the following academic year. If you have A's in your major subject(s), and overall GPA of 3.5 or higher and want to help others, please consider completing and application. Tutors work an average of 2-8 hours per week, depending upon demand. Pay is $6.00 per hour. The application form can be clicked on below.
