Randolph-Macon College's Counseling Services offers personal counseling to all students. Counseling services include short-term individual counseling, group counseling, consultation, and referral services when deemed appropriate or preferred by the student. Our center also provides workshops on a variety of personal topics and alcohol/drug education classes. Referrals and brief consultations are also available to faculty and staff.
The Center's clinical staff are licensed and follow the legal and ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association and the American Counseling Association for professional behavior and confidentiality. Dr. Craig Anderson, Dr. Mary Polce-Lynch, Dr. Beth Schubert and Dr. Renee del Rio provide counseling at the Center.
Appointments can be made by visiting the Center or by calling 752-7270 (x7270) from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All appointments are completely confidential and available to enrolled students at no cost. Appointments are typically given within 48 hours of request. Contact Campus Safety at x4710 for urgent after-hours mental health needs. For serious emergencies, call 911 (9-911 from room phone)
