Catholic Campus Ministry at R-MC welcomes all members of the R-MC community and provides opportunities to:
• form a vibrant, active faith community
• learn more about the Catholic faith
• grow spiritually and as a individual with character
• learn about and engage in peace and justice issues

• develop leaders willing to serve others
• work with other groups on campus and serve the college community itself

As indicated above, CCM follows the aspects of campus ministry as set out by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in their pastoral letter, Empowered by the Spirit (1985).
Catholic Campus Ministry works with the R-MC Office of the Chaplain and is a member of the R-MC Campus Ministries Council.
Catholic Campus Ministry at R-MC is also engaged in Diocesan programs for young adults and college students, including:
Empowering Catholic Campus Leaders - This weekend workshop allows Catholic student leaders from across the Diocese of Richmond to gather and reflect on the aspects of Catholic Campus Ministry as set forth in Empowered by the Spirit. The attitudes and approaches cultivated here will be beneficial to any Catholic college student who serves in any type of leadership role. Applications for the workshop, which is held in the fall, are available from the Catholic Campus Minister.
Encounter with Christ Catholic College Student Retreat - Lead by Catholic college students and campus ministers from across the Diocese, this four-day retreat experience allows college students to step back from their busy lives and reflect on what's really important - their relationship with God and the community. The retreat consists of talks, small group discussion, prayer, reflection, as well as time to get to know fellow retreat participants. Applications for the retreat, which is held three times in the spring, are available from the Catholic Campus Minister.
