One of the most important things you can do while
you are a student is to keep up with what is happening in the world
of work. Change is occurring rapidly today and many new jobs are
being created as technology advances and processes change. Make
it part of your weekly schedule to read newspapers, magazines and
websites to learn about current news and trends in the workplace.
The business section in newspapers is a good place to start and
often you will find intriguing information on companies that you
may be interested in working at in the future. A clipping file is
a good way to keep track of information. This file can be a file
folder where you file paper copies of information or can be an electronic
file where you store information you have found.
