ACCESS CEO: A career leadership program

ACCESS CEO Application

ACCESS CEO is a unique team based mentoring program for juniors and seniors. The program is not your traditional one-to-one mentoring program. It provides an opportunity for ambitious students to come together and learn from seasoned top local executives and from one another.

ACCESS CEO GOALS :

• Provide a venue for students to meet and learn from local executives at the president and vice-president level
• Expedite the development of future leaders
• Encourage personal growth, career development, and goal achievement

QUALIFICATIONS :

Participation is limited. To apply, you must:

• Be a junior or senior
• Complete the attached application in its entirety
• Be prepared to spend time as a team during each session

TIME COMMITMENT :

The program requires all participants to be available for a two-hour session with the highlighted business leader per month.

Program dates:

• Kick-off reception/welcome: Wednesday, September 16, 2009 - 5:00-7:00 p.m. 
• Monthly business leader meetings: October 14, November 11, December 2, 2009; February 10, March 10, April 14, 2010.  Visits take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with additional travel time required.
• Final wrap-up: Wednesday, May 12, 2010

EXPECTATIONS :

• All participants will commit to participate for the duration of the program and be actively engaged.
• Each month two students will research the featured company and share this information with the group.
• Each student will be allowed one absence during the year.  Beyond this absence, students will be asked to leave the program.
• Professional dress will be required for all business leader meetings.
• Participants will be required to travel to the business leader meetings.  Transportation will be available if needed.

Complete the following application to be a part of the new team of 15 who will meet with one local executive per month for a six-month period at that executive’s place of business.
