The Brock Center features an eighteen foot rock climbing wall with three lanes for climbing. The wall was built with the assistance of the class of 1995 and features a realistic surface for climbing.
Rock climbing can be an exhilarating, challenging activity. With the proper safety measures, the wall can provide an excellent opportunity to develop, or fine tune, rock climbing skills as well as demonstration of the importance of teamwork. |
Anyone wanting to use the rock climbing wall must first participate in a rock climbing wall certification class. These classes are scheduled at various times during the semester. Class times are listed on the bulletin board next to the wall.
Only equipment checked out at the welcome desk may be used when climbing the wall. This equipment includes harnesses, grigri, and carabiners. Climbers must first have taken our certification class in order to check out equipment.
Even experienced climbers are required to participate in this class before using the Brock Center rock climbing wall. All climbers must have someone on the ground to belay while they climb. |
Rock Climbing Wall Reconfigured. The rock climbing wall has been reconfigured with ribbons on the handholds. Select a ribbon color and try to use the trail with that color.
