Katie Green Scores Six Times in 18-9 R-MC Victory over ODAC Rival Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, VA – Freshman attack Katie Green found the back of the net six times to lead the Randolph-Macon College women’s lacrosse team to a 18-9 win over Lynchburg College Friday evening.
LC jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but the Yellow Jackets countered with eight of the games’ next nine goals to open a comfortable lead. Randolph-Macon won 23 of the game’s 28 draw controls, possessing the ball for much of the game.
Alex Wright netted four goals for Randolph-Macon (3-5 /3-0 ODAC) and Morgan Hutchinson added three tallies. Lindsay Schabert made seven stops in the cage for R-MC.
Deana Welsch scored a team-high three goals for the Hornets, and Morgan Logue had two goals and three assists. Nichole Locher scored twice and helped on two others.
Randolph Macon will be back in action on Sunday when it hosts ODAC leader Washington and Lee at 3:00 p.m. in Ashland.
