Randolph-Macon Wraps Up Phoenix Trip with a 60-40 Victory over Villa Julie

PHOENIX, AZ – The 14th ranked Randolph-Macon College women’s basketball team scored a 60-40 victory over Villa Julie College in its final day at the Grand Canyon Classic in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday.

With the win, R-MC is now 7-0, its best start since the 2004-05 season when that Yellow Jacket team also opened the season with seven straight victories.

Against Villa Julie on Sunday, Lindsay Riesbeck led the team with 16 points and six rebounds. Amanda Hiltunen also chipped in with 12 points while Molly Ariail had nine points and six boards.

R-MC will return to action on January 8th when it will return to Crenshaw Gymnasium for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference tilt against regional rival Catholic University.
