Randolph-Macon Volleyball Knocks off Virginia State 3-0
ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon volleyball team won a match for the second consecutive night, topping visiting Virginia State 3-0 by the game scores of 30-11, 30-15 and 30-15. The Yellow Jackets now stand 3-4 on the season.
Sophomore April Hines led the offensive attack for the Jackets registering 11 kills on the night. Freshman Raena Winton complimented Hines with nine kills of her own while sophomore Jill Kubichan had six kills as well. Kubichan’s classmate Savanna Love passed out 21 assists on the night and freshman Sam Block had 10 helpers. Freshman Michelle Lindsey had nine digs on the defensive side for R-MC
The Jackets will be back in action on Friday when it will head to Roanoke College for a 6:00 p.m. ODAC match. Saturday, R-MC will be at Emory and Henry in a 1:00 p.m. league match.
