Vassar Tops Randolph-Macon 3-0 in Women’s Volleyball Action
ASHLAND, VA – Visiting Vassar College defeated Randolph-Macon College in women’s volleyball 3-0 Tuesday night in Ashland. The Brewers won by game scores of 30-25, 30-15, 30-25.
Randolph-Macon (10-10) was led by Alix McRae who had 10 kills on the evening. Sheri Trentadue and Savanna Love had 17 and 13 assists, respectively. Raena Winton chipped in with nine kills as well. Defensively, Jill Kubichan had 20 digs for the Yellow Jackets.
The Brewers (18-6) were led by Tess Johnson who had 13 kills on the evening. She was joined by Caitlin Ly who had 10 kills and Sarah Potts who had eight. Amanda Hsiung directed the offense with 33 assists and chipped in with 11 digs on the night. Ly had a team-high 21 digs for Vassar while Alia Al-Khatib had seven digs and four aces.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Thursday when it faces Washington and Lee at home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
