Mary Washington Opens Home Slate with 3-0 Win Over R-MC
FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- The Mary Washington Univeristy volleyball team scored a 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon College on Wednesday night at Goolrick Gymnasium. Game scores were 28-30, 30-21, 30-28, 30-22.
Randolph-Macon was led by Jill Kubichan's seven kills and 12 digs, and Maggie Horn's 12 kills. Sheri Trentadue had 21 assists and four aces for the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to St. Mary's of Maryland for a 11:00 a.m. match with the Seahawks and then will take on Lebanon Valley at 1:00 p.m.
Lindsey Scott had 36 assists for the Eagles, with Lizzie Robey adding 13 kills and five blocks. Caitlin Oshida had 18 digs, and Sarah Tighe had six blocks for the Eagles.
