R-MC Opens ODAC Play with 3-0 Win over Eastern Mennonite
HARRISONBURG, VA – The Randolph-Macon College volleyball squad got back on the winning track on Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory over ODAC foe Eastern Mennonite University. R-MC won the match by game scores of 30-20, 30-18 and 30-22.
The Yellow Jackets got a strong offensive performance from Michelle Lindsey who had a team best eight kills on the night. Kendra Smith and Alix Macrae each had seven kills in the win while Savanna Love dished out 16 assists.
Michelle Kutcher paced the Jackets on the defensive side with 17 digs. Lindsey chipped in with nine digs while Maggie Horn had eight. Horn and April Hines each had four blocks in the victory.
With the win, R-MC now stands at 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the league. The Jackets return to action on Wednesday night at home versus Virginia State. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
