Randolph-Macon Golf Finishes Second at Tom Kinder Invitational
ASHLAND, VA – Behind a third-place individual finish from Ralston King, the Randolph-Macon College golf team finished in second place overall at the Tom Kinder Invitational held at Lakeview Golf Course over the weekend.
R-MC shot a 292-312—604 to finish behind ODAC rival and host Bridgewater who shot 11 over par with a 288-299—597 to take the tournament title.
Joining King on the leader board was Nick Fallon who carded a 73-80—150 which landed him in a tie for 12th place. Max Wyndorf placed 17th with a 75-80—155. Michael Shrader finished 18th with a 73-83—156.
Bridgewater senior Shawn Harper finished 3-under for the tournament after posting a 1-under-par 71 Sunday. Harper edged his teammate Colten Ray by one stroke for medalist honors.
Lynchburg placed third, followed by the Bridgewater B team, Roanoke, Muhlenberg, Shenandoah, Marymount, Apprentice School, Virginia Wesleyan, Villa Julie, Ferrum and Emory & Henry.
