Randolph-Macon Swimming Takes Second-Place at ODAC / Atlantic States  Championships

RADFORD, VA -- The Randolph-Macon College swimming team captured second-place in both the ODAC and Atlantic States Championships on Sunday at Radford University’s Dedmon Center.

The Yellow Jackets got a first-place individual finish from Meredith Bagenstose in the 400 IM with a time of 4:51.54. Corrine Campbell also placed first in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:14.54

R-MC got second-place individual finishes from Marlene Graf in the 500 free (5:36:98), the 200 free (1:59.92) and Bagenstose in the 200 yard fly (2:15.17).

The Jackets relay teams also faired well, with second-place finishes from the 200 yard medley relay team (1:55.97) of Bagenstose, Campbell, Randi Smith and Meredith Walters, the 400 medley relay (4:11.91) team comprised of Graf, Campbell, Schafer Busch and Maureen McLaughlin , while Busch, Graf, McLaughlin and Laura Belch teamed up to place second in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:45.40.  The 800 free team made up of Aimee Powell, Graf, Bagenstose and McLaughlin placed second with a time of 8:18.23.
