R-MC Swimming Takes a Pair from Juniata and Catholic
ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College Swimming team notched a pair of non-conference victories on Friday night as it knocked off home standing Catholic 57-38 and Juniata 84-8 in a tri-meet held in Washington, D.C.
R-MC (4-1) was paced by Corinne Campbell who was second in the 200 free (2:07.29), first in the 200 butterfly (2:18.01), and part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:47.06, her split was 26.52).
Other winners included Marlene Graf in the 1000 free (11:18.51) and 500 free (5:30.07), Maureen McLaughlin – in the 200 free (2:06.45) and Meredith Bagenstose in the 400 IM (4:59.93), Hallie Stewart won the 200 Backstroke (2:17.52) while Stewart, Campbell, McLaughlin and Bagenstose combined to win the 200 freestyle relay.
R-MC will be off until November 30th when it will host the 2007 Yellow Jacket Invite. The meet will kick off on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and will resume at 9:00 am on Saturday.
