R-MC Swimming Knocks off Sweet Briar 106-99

ASHLAND, VA -- The Randolph-Macon College swimming team got back on the winning track Saturday with a 106-99 ODAC victory over Sweet Briar College.
R-MC now stands at 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the league. SBC falls to 10-2 overall and 3-2 in league competition.
The Jackets were paced by Laura Belch, Meredith Bagenstose, and Marlene Graf who all had two individual wins apiece. Belch won the 50 (26.64) and 100 freestyles (57.44), Bagenstose won the 200 IM (2:21.09) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.34), and Graf won the 200 (2:04.01) freestyle and 100 backstroke (1:05.49).
Other wins came from Corinne Campbell in the 100 butterfly (102.50) and the 200 medley relay team of Graf, Amanda Steinagel, Campbell, and Meredith Walters.
Randolph-Macon will be off until the league championships on February 15-17 at Radford University.
