Yellow Jackets Swimming Tops Bridgewater 114-68

ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College swimming team stayed perfect against ODAC foes this season with a 114-68 victory over visiting Bridgewater College Saturday afternoon in Ashland.

The Yellow Jackets (7-1 / 5-0 ODAC), who won 11-of-12 events on the afternoon, where led individually by Marlene Graf, Corinne Campbell, Aimee Powell and Maureen McLaughlin who all won multiple events on afternoon.

Graf took first place honors in the 50 yard freestyle (27.58), 100 yard backstroke (1:06.35) and joined Campbell, McLaughlin and Meredith Walters on the victorious 400 yard medley relay team (4.26).

McLaughlin finished first in the 200 yard IM (2.23.19) and the 100 yard free style (59.26). Powell captured the 1000 yard free style (11:35.05) and the 500 free style (5:40.07), while Campbell won the 200 yard free style (2.07.69) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:03.28), helping R-MC to the win.

The Yellow Jackets will return to action next Friday when it welcomes ODAC rival Washington and Lee to Ashland for a 7:30 league meet.
