Men’s Tennis Opens Season with 5-4 Win over Ferrum
ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College men’s tennis team opened up its 2008 season with a 5-4 victory over Ferrum College on Sunday afternoon.
R-MC’s John Best won his No. 2 singles match over the Panthers’ Bob Dill 6-1 and 6-2, and teamed up with Chris Picarde to win their No. 2 doubles match 8-2. Tripp Howerin also won at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles with teammate Ken Fetzer.
Randolph-Macon will return to action when it takes on St. Mary’s at home on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
