Randolph Hands R-MC Men’s Soccer a 2-1 ODAC Loss
(Box Score)
LYNCHBURG, VA – Jonathan Bolton scored a pair of goals just under three minutes apart in the second-half to lift Randolph College to a 2-1 victory over Randolph-Macon Tuesday afternoon in Lynchburg, Virginia.
R-MC (3-8-1 / 2-3-1 ODAC) got on the board first when Matt Andes scored his first collegiate goal off a double assist from Ethan Cornelio and Andrew Parham in the 24th minute of play.
The score would remain that way until Bolton struck for the first of his goals at 55:27 to knot the score at 1-1. Bolton then scored just under three minutes later on a pass from Robert Goldnetz.
R-MC outshot Randolph (6-6-0 / 3-2 ODAC) 11-7 and held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks. Jason DePre made five stops in net for the Yellow Jackets.
Randolph-Macon will return to action on October 16 when it will welcome St. Mary’s of Maryland for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match.
