(Box Score)
CARLISLE, PA – Thomas Parkinson’s goal in the 17th minute proved to be the difference in a 1-0 victory for home standing Dickinson College over the R-MC Men’s Soccer team on Sunday afternoon in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
A streaking Parkinson one-timed a cross off the foot of teammate Dale Rodman, who made a run down the right side of the field to give the Red Devils the one goal of the match. R-MC now stands at 0-3-0 on the season, while Dickinson improved to 3-1-0 on the year.
DC out shot R-MC 23-8 and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. In his first career start, Matty Rocawich made 11 saves in net for the Yellow Jackets. Rodrigo Barboza made a pair of saves for Dickinson to pick up the shut out.
The Jackets will return home for a Wednesday match for regional rival Mary Washington at 4:00 p.m. in Ashland.
