R-MC Men's Soccer Picks Up 1-0 ODAC Road Win at Eastern Mennonite
HARRISONBURG, VA -- Drew Wyatt scored in the 62nd minute to lift Randolph-Macon College to a 1-0 men's soccer win over the Eastern Mennonite University Royals Tuesday night on the EMU Turf Field.
The Yellow Jackets improve to 7-8 overall and 5-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Royals fall to 2-9-2 on the season and 1-5-1 in the conference.
In the second half, with the ball at midfield, Randolph-Macon junior midfielder Scott Landholt served the ball up to Wyatt who blasted a ball just outside of the reach of Maust for the lone goal of the game. The goal was the third of the season for Wyatt.
The Royals were unable to respond as several attempts again missed just wide of the net. Third-year starter Junior Kamandua had two shots sail just high over the net in the second half while a header by senior Braden Long was saved by a diving Jason DePre before crossing the plane of the goal.
DePre had three saves for RMC while JacksonMaust finished with six for EMU.
Randolph-Macon held a 14-10 edge in shots and a 13-4 margin in penalty kicks.
