Quinn’s Golden Goal Lifts Randolph-Macon over Emory Henry 1-0
ASHLAND, VA – Kevan Quinn’s golden goal at the 91:28 mark lifted the Randolph-Macon College men’s soccer team to a 1-0 overtime result against ODAC foe Emory and Henry on Saturday afternoon in Ashland.
Quinn’s goal was set up by Chris Williams who kneed a ball at the top of the box that found the head of Brad Line who was a able to push the ball to Quinn who beat the Wasps’ keeper to give the Yellow Jackets victory.
The two teams battled to a scoreless tie after 90 minutes of regulation with Randolph-Macon holding a 15-8 lead in shots. R-MC led in corner kicks 5-3 as well.
Jason DePre earned the shut out in net for the Jackets, making five saves on the afternoon while his counterpart Daniel Mills made eight saves in a losing effort.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday when it welcomes Washington and Lee to Ashland for a 4:00 p.m. ODAC match.
