Well Balanced Attack Sends R-MC Men’s Basketball to a 88-67 Victory over SSCC Vina

CHILE -- The R-MC Men's Basketball team took game three on their South American trip Saturday night beating SSCC Vina from Vina Del Mar 88-67.

The Jackets, who now stand at 3-0 on the Chilean tour, were clicking on all cylinders scoring in transition and from the outside. They also battled well in the paint, led by sophomore Brandon Braxton’s 20 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Brown scored 15 points and had five steals on the defensive end. Senior Justin Short had 11 points, six assists and three steals.

The Jackets led at the half 41-28 and broke open the game further with a strong second half to seal the 21 point victory. Also registering in the scorebook was Andre Hunter (5 points), Tim Lawrence (8 points), Danny Jones (9 points), Thomas Scheeler (5 points) and Boris Varela (9 points).

The Jackets now head to Santa Cruz Sunday to play Catolica Universidad in an evening matchup Sunday.
