ASHLAND, VA – All Five Randolph-Macon College starters scored in double figures as the Yellow Jackets upended arch rival Hampden-Sydney 72-66 before a crowd of over 1,400 in Ashland on Saturday.
R-MC closes out the regular season 20-5 overall and 14-4 in the ODAC. The victory secures the Jackets fifth 20-win season since 2001 and they have now won seven out of their last eight regular season games against Hampden-Sydney.

R-MC did not make its first basket of the contest until the 13:21 mark when Short drained a jumper, making the score 8-2 in favor of the Tigers.
The Yellow Jackets continued to battle and took the lead 13-12 when Short made a three-pointer with nine minutes left in the first half. The game remained close with R-MC holding a 32-27 lead at the intermission after Short was fouled on a three-point attempt with four seconds left in the half and made all three ensuing foul shots.
R-MC would come out and build on its lead in the second half and took a 13 point advantage when Brown converted a lay up with 12 minutes to go in the game.
H-SC chipped away over the next nine minutes and cut the Jackets lead to 64-62 when Prehmus connected on jumper with 2:48 to go in the game.
R-MC responded with a three-pointer from Short on its next possession and after a defensive stop, a Jones basket sealed the game with 1:12 remaining.
