JEKYLL ISLAND, GA -- The Randolph-Macon College golf team finished in 21st place at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational held in Jekyll Island, Georgia this past weekend.
The Yellow Jackets shot a 313-316-314 -- 943 to finish in the 21st slot in the 26 team field. Ralston King and Michael Shrader paced the Yellow Jackets individually. King was the top R-MC finisher after carding a 77-79-78--234. Shrader fired a 77-80-79--236 for the Jackets as well.
The nation's top team Methodist University finished up with a 291 in round three to hold on for the top on Sunday. Methodist's 871 (295-285-291) led second place Huntingdon by 15 strokes. Oglethorpe finished third with an 899. MU Nick Bova won the tournament with a 211 (71-68-72) on the par 72 course.
R-MC will be back on the links when it will compete in the Camp LeJeune Intercollegiate Mar. 28-30
