No. 9 Christopher Newport Stops Randolph-Macon 7-0
ASHLAND, VA – Haylie Black scored two goals and added an assist as No. 9 Christopher Newport upended homes standing Randolph-Macon 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon. CNU scored three goals in the first-half and four in the second stanza.
Black scored the game's eventual winner just 3:40 into the start of the game with Stephanie Bair assisting. Ashley Traylor scored the next two goals. Black assisted on the first and Taylor Harrell assisted on the second score.
The Captains out-shot the Yellow Jackets, 20-3. Emma Stout played the first half and made three saves. Zuri Pryor-Graves played the second half and made no saves. for CNU. Ashley Crouch played the entire match in the cage for R-MC, making eight saves on the afternoon.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Sunday when it travels to Swarthmore for a 1:00 p.m. match.
