In January 2013, Randolph-Macon students traveled to Japan and visited the cities
of Kyoto, Nara, and Tokyo. They had the rare opportunity to study religion, the
art of meditation and the culture and history of Japan. Led by Professors Todd Munson
and Timothy Brown, students toured temples, castles and other historic sites.
The Japan Foundation
In 2011, Randolph-Macon College received a generous grant from The Japan Foundation
to strengthen Japanese Studies, a part of the college’s
Asian Studies program. The grant will help the College reach its goal of
increasing course offerings in Japanese language and culture and allow students
to travel to Japan as part of their studies.
