The Randolph-Macon College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, along with the Hanover Concert Band, presented a Holiday Concert on December 8, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Ashland.
The audience was treated to seasonal favorites such as “Deck the Halls,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” and “Winter Wonderland.” The Concert Choir and Chamber singers, under the direction of
Music Professor Christopher Ryder, were accompanied by Jodie McDowell-Brill. The Hanover Band performed under the direction of Karla Bloom.
The concert was recorded by Classics Radio and will be broadcast on WWED 89.5 FM Fredericksburg and WWEM 91.7 FM Lynchburg on the following dates: 12/18 at 1:00 p.m.; 12/20
at 9:00 a.m.; and 12/21 at 5:00 p.m. It will also be broadcast multiple times on 12/24 and 12/25 in a “marathon” of local performance. The performance can also be accessed at

R-MC’s Concert Choir is a select choral ensemble that performs choral literature ranging from Plainsong to gospel. The group performs throughout Virginia and on its annual tour, which includes the National Cathedral, St. Monica's Cathedral in New York City, and St. Michael's Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
In recent years, the
Concert Choir has taken two performance tours abroad and has performed throughout England and Wales, as well as in Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Hungary.
