Randolph-Macon College will host Dr. Daniel Q. Estep on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the Andrews Hall Multi-purpose Room. Estep will present “Your Pet Did What? Adventures in Applied Animal Behavior.”
This event is free and open to the public. Estep earned his Ph.D. in psychology with a specialization in animal behavior from the University of Florida. He is certified by the Animal Behavior Society as an Applied Animal Behaviorist. He is internationally respected as a teacher, researcher and educator in animal behavior. He regularly consults with veterinarians, pet professionals, humane organizations, government agencies and attorneys about animal behavior. He has lectured nationally and on five different continents. Estep has published a variety of research papers and books as well as numerous articles for pet parents. He is co-author of
Help I’m Barking and I Can’t Be Quiet: A Pet Parenting Guide and
Raising a Behaviorally Healthy Puppy: A Pet Parenting Guide as well as numerous video and audio training programs for pet professionals and pet parents.
Estep and his wife and partner, Dr. Suzanne Hetts, own Animal Behavior Associates, Inc., a pet behavior education and consulting firm in Denver, Colorado. Their firm provides professional animal consulting services to organizations and pet owners throughout North America and the world. They maintain several popular and active websites including BehaviorEducationNetwork.com, PetProNews.com and SensibleDogTraining.com, which contain a wealth of information for pet parents and pet professionals.
