A public debate with the five candidates running for Ashland Town Council will be
held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Ashland Town Hall
Council Chambers. The five candidates are vying for three vacant Town Council seats,
which will be determined at the election on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
Bill Robert, manager of WHAN radio station in Ashland will be the moderator. Sponsors
for the debate include the Coalition for Hanover's Future, the Hanover Herald-Progress,
the League of Women Voters, Randolph-Macon College and WHAN radio station. The public
will have an opportunity to direct questions to candidates during the debate.
