Randolph-Macon College is the
other home of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
The Richmond Symphony Orchestra continues its Metro Collection Concert Series at Randolph-Macon College with a concert on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Blackwell Auditorium, R-MC Center for the Performing Arts. This is the second of a four-concert series.
R-MC will offer special pricing for the performances, and subscription prices are available at greater savings.
Bonus – Get up close and personal with the musicians of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra before each concert. R-MC Professor of
Music James Doering will lead a pre-concert discussion with a member of the symphony. The lectures, which begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomas Branch Atrium, are free and open to the public.
RSO music director and conductor Steven Smith will lead the orchestra as they present Revueltas:
Homenaje a Federico Garcia Lorca (Homage to Lorca); Mozart: Concerto TBD, Sibelius:
Pelleas and Melisande; and Prokofiev:
Classical Symphony.
