He added, “However, we still feel that the best way to assess the quality and benefits of any college is for families to do their own research. We invite them to visit Randolph-Macon and meet with our admissions staff and faculty to better understand how our affordable, high quality academic program prepares students for post-graduate success and a lifetime of changing careers.”
U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges issue has been published for the past two decades. According to the U.S. News Media Group, schools are ranked in categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. More than 1,400 accredited four-year schools are examined based on peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving, and, for National Universities and National Liberal Arts Colleges, graduation rate performance and high school counselor ratings of colleges.
Randolph-Macon also placed near the top 100 from more than 600 colleges that made
Forbes magazine’s America’s Top Colleges list.
Forbes has published its America’s Best Colleges list since 2008, ranking more than 600 undergraduate institutions. According to
Forbes, the rankings are based on the quality of the education colleges provide and the success of their alumni, faculty and student achievements, affordability, and student satisfaction with their overall college experience. This data is compiled with research from the Center for College Affordability & Productivity.
