Flippo Gallery will feature works by Richmond-based artist Suzanna Fields. |
Randolph-Macon College will usher in its 2009-2010 Cultural Arts program as Richmond-based artist
Suzanna Fields exhibits her vibrant and varied works, which have been described as “evocative of a state of flux or a suspended moment tinged with absurdity.”
The exhibit, titled "Chain of Events," lasts from September 11 to October 30, 2009.
There will be two public openings for this exhibition. The first will be held from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 and the second one will take place on Sunday, October 4 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Flippo Gallery, located in Pace Armistead Hall, will play host to the reception and the art exhibit. The gallery is open Monday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fields, who earned a B.A. in art and English from Mary Baldwin College and a M.F.A. in painting from Virginia Commonwealth University, has exhibited extensively in numerous college exhibits in Virginia and New York. Her work has made finalist status in various gallery showings over the past 10 years.
Note: The gallery will be closed Oct. 9 through Oct. 13 for the college’s fall break. For more information, please call 804-752-3018.
